40 hours per week, starting 8.00 am or as agreed.
Production Operative / Technician (trainee or experienced). Pay dependent on age and experience. This job has a wide variety of interesting work, all applied to the manufacture of printed circuits boards, and assembly of complex electronic circuits. Processes include photomechanical printing, CNC drilling, automated assembly machine operation, process control, automated inspection, convection, vapour phase, and selective soldering, CADCAM programming, testing, etc. Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing and assembly work is desirable but not essential and we will train beginners. If you are dexterous, careful, and with an eye for detail this could be the job for you. This is a trainee position although applications from those with experience in these fields are welcome. As your skills advance, your rate of pay will be reviewed, and there is considerable opportunity for you to move forward within the business if you accept the challenge. Skills, Experience and Education
We do not expect any particular previous experience, but an interest in technology and technical qualifications are advantageous. You must be at ease working with computers. You must have achieved 5 good GCSE’s including Maths and English. You must be curious and eager to learn. You must be punctual. You must be prepared for the responsibility of producing a high quality service. You must be prepared to learn our procedures, and follow instructions to the letter. You must aspire to work responsibly without close supervision.
Holidays & sick pay
20 days per annum plus statutory holidays will be paid. Up to 10 sick days will be paid at full pay per annum after 3 “waiting” days without pay for each occurrence.
