TAILIT Bike Rack Safety System

‘TAILIT’ manufacture a truly innovative system to improve vehicle safety when bicycles are strapped on the rear of vehicles. It is unfortunately all too common that holiday makers strap bikes to cars without realising that the warning lights are obscured. This has the potential to attract the attention of the road traffic police as it heightens the risk of traffic accidents.

The conventional solution is to fit a 7 pin trailer socket to provide power to an auxiliary lighting set. ‘TAILIT’ have developed a new system that is inexpensive, quick to fit and meets legal requirements. Newbury Innovation used their electronic design expertise to help develop the device that simply connects to a vehicle cigarette lighter socket present in almost every vehicle. This operates the ‘TAILIT’ lighting board which attaches to the cycle rack mounted on the rear of a vehicle.
