High-reliability electronics for EV, powertrain, ADAS and safety-critical systems.
Newbury Electronics provides UK-based PCB manufacture, PCB assembly and electronic design services for automotive electronics, including EV, powertrain, ADAS and safety-critical systems.
Its vertically integrated facilities in Newbury support full lifecycle development from early-stage prototypes through controlled production, with an emphasis on traceability, process control, rapid iteration, pre-production refinement and engineering-led optimisation.
Newbury offers a route for companies preparing for high-volume manufacture in lower-cost regions while retaining the option of UK production. The UK facility is focussed on high product mix, small and medium batch size production up to 100k units pa.
Whether a programme is developing a new vehicle electronics module, refining an existing product or validating a design before larger-scale manufacture, Newbury's engineering, fabrication and assembly capabilities support speed, precision and technical support.
Newbury combines integrated UK manufacturing, process control for harsh-environment electronics and rapid movement from prototype to production.
PCB fabrication, SMT/THT assembly and electronic design are provided within one company, supporting controlled handling of proprietary automotive design information through a single development route.
Newbury's automotive workflows include controlled-impedance fabrication, 3D AOI, AXI, statistical process control and full material traceability for electronics exposed to thermal cycling, humidity and chemical ingress.
Fast-turn prototypes with engineering oversight are available for EV power electronics, ADAS modules and embedded control systems, with production transfer supported by unified design, fabrication and assembly teams.
Our PCB Train website is available for online quoting and ordering, while CAM optimisation and DFM feedback are provided by in-house engineers.
Newbury provides bare PCB fabrication, PCB assembly, supporting processes and electronic design engineering.
PCB constructions and fabrication features for automotive programmes include rigid, flex and rigid-flex boards, high-temperature materials, high-CTE-resistant materials and high-density structures.
Facilities include surface-mount and through-hole assembly for automotive electronics, including fine-pitch packages, mixed-technology assemblies, conformal coat, automated selective soldering, vapour phase reflow, automated cleaning and 3D AOI inspection/test.
Newbury provides design engineering for embedded, analogue, digital, mixed-signal, high-speed, RF, FPGA and automotive power-electronics applications.
Newbury supports a development route built around rapid iteration, pre-production refinement and production transfer.
Electronic design, DFM and DFT can be integrated from concept stage, with thermal and reliability considerations included in the engineering scope.
Rapid prototyping supports iterative development for EV power electronics, ADAS modules and embedded control systems.
Engineering-led optimisation and refinement are provided before programmes move into controlled production.
Unified design, fabrication and assembly teams support transfer from development into production.
Newbury provides a UK manufacturing route for programmes that value UK production alongside preparation for higher-volume manufacture elsewhere.
Newbury supports applications across electrification, vehicle control, sensing, connectivity and specialist vehicle electronics.
Newbury Electronics publishes current quality approvals covering ISO 9001, AS9100D, ISO 13485, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO/IEC 27001, JOSCAR, Underwriters Laboratories, Cyber Essentials Plus and IPC specialist certification. Newbury operates an ISO 9001-certified quality system rather than IATF 16949 certification and can support PPAP/APQP documentation where required by the programme. The applicable scope, certificate number and expiry date should be checked for the specific activity before manufacture.
